The fruit selected for this wine was sourced from vines planted in 1962 on our Swan Valley vineyard. The 2011 season was great, with a warm dry summer from which the fruit obtained full flavour without any issues in the vineyard. Aged on very fine lees in tank before being bottled in October that year.
The wine offers gentle aromas of lime, apple and toasty hints. With the age, comes a fantastic bright green colour as well as complexity and depth of fruit flavour. Mineral tones and lemon/lime tones are evident on the palate and layers of flavour burst through the spectrum.
A full flavoured wine with lovely mouthfeel. The wine has a clean, dry finish making it a great match to a range of cuisine.
